Committees

CACEA has several committees and working groups where members can have an impact, expand their network and maximize their membership!

EDUCATION COMMITTEE

The committee develops and promotes educational programs, training and information exchange designed to meet the needs and expectations of all members of the Association. Committee members assist with developing the educational calendar, identifying speakers, seeking educational partnerships and content, and ensuring the association provides valuable and varied content.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

The committee establishes and executes a strategy for membership recruitment and retention.

MENTORING PROGRAM

The committee oversees the CACEA REA Mentoring Program to facilitate professional development for CACEA members.

TECHNICAL COMMITTEE

The committee identifies technical issues of concern for EAs; seeks clarity and potential solutions for technical issues; engage with external stakeholders on behalf of CACEA; contribute to the production of relevant reports, documents, FAQs to assist CACEA members to address technical issues and provide knowledgeable service and advice as required and contribute to industry feedback/position requests in a timely fashion.

VIRTUAL / REMOTE AUDIT WORKING GROUP

This working group meets on an ad hoc basis and provide input and recommendations related to virtual tools on an ad hoc basis and when required.

Other Member Engagement Initiatives

EA COUNCIL

The EA Council typically meets quarterly, although there may be additional regional or program-specific discussions added as required. The Council provides a platform for CACEA's REA members to share their thoughts, ideas and concerns. This Council is only open to Full and Junior category EA members.

EARLY CAREER FORUM

This informal discussion group which meets quarterly, provides an opportunity for recent REAs (Junior), Trainee members and those in the early stages of their career to meet, talk about gaps, and explore ways where CACEA might help them navigate their career.

NEW MEMBER MEETINGS

These sessions are held on a quarterly basis and provide an informal opportunity for those who recently joined CACEA to start to build their network and learn more about the services and benefits that CACEA provides. While this "chat" is focused on recent new members, any CACEA member is welcomed to attend!

WOMEN'S FORUM

This is an informal forum which meets quarterly, is an opportunity for CACEA members to network and share stories. This Forum is open only to CACEA's members who are female, those that identify as female, two spirited persons and non-binary persons.
