Membership is with the individual and valid January 1 – December 31st. Applications must include all required information and fees (including provincial tax). Payment can be made by credit card (online) or by e-transfer to info@cacea.ca (include member’s name) or cheque payable to Canadian Association of Consulting Energy Advisors. Group discounts may apply for 3+ applicants from the same company (Contact info@cacea.ca for details). Applications must be approved before benefits are activated.

* This offer is not available to those who have been a CACEA member. Lapsed members must pay the full membership fees regardless of when they reactivate their membership.

ATTENTION FULL AND JUNIOR APPLICANTS:

In addition to your membership application, you must provide this Service Organization (SO) Verification Letter. You can upload the completed letter to your online profile. Note, this is an annual requirement.

Member Category Eligibility

FULL (voting) JUNIOR (voting) SUPPLIER (restricted voting) TRAINEE (non-voting) ASSOCIATE (non-voting)
  • EA with NRCan Registration
  • In good standing with a Service Organization
  • Proof of E&O insurance
  • 1 year of Candidate Member and/or 15 homes tested under a NRCan program (ERS, Energy Star, R2000 or NetZero) – SO validated OR put forward by Full Member in good standing
  • New EA with NRCan registration
  • In good standing with a Service Organization
  • Proof of E&O insurance
  • Less than 1 full year of EA status or under 15 homes tested under a NRCan program (ERS, EnergyStar, R2000 or NetZero)
  • Provides products and services to EAs and building sector
  • Does not provide EA services
  • Studying to be an EA through a school or independently and/or only written the Foundation exam
  • Can’t be an Affiliate for 2+ years
  • Doesn’t fit into other categories, e.g. an SP, architect, engineer, builder, trade, field tech
