The Canadian Association of Consulting Energy Advisors (CACEA) is the national voice for Energy Advisors (EAs) in Canada. CACEA is committed to building standards, recognition, and opportunity for our members and the entire profession.

Through collaboration with the government and the Part 9, low-rise residential sector, we advocate for Energy Advisors and help shape the future of high-performance buildings in Canada.

Who is CACEA?

The Canadian Association of Consulting Energy Advisors (CACEA) represents Energy Advisors across Canada who play a key role in improving the energy efficiency, sustainability, resilience, and comfort of both new and existing homes. We elevate the profession through training, standards, and advocacy, and serve as a trusted resource for homeowners, industry partners, and policymakers.

CACEA helps to promote sustainable building practices and facilitate Canadian Home Labeling Programs such as:

EnerGuide and R-2000 are official marks of Natural Resources Canada. The ENERGY STAR® mark is administered and promoted in Canada by Natural Resources Canada.

  • Announcing CACEA’s New Technical Liaison Director

    The Canadian Association of Consulting Energy Advisors’ (CACEA) is pleased to announce it newest team member. Gilles Lesage MEA – who will serve as our new Technical Liaison Director and represent CACEA – particularly in British Columbia, will support the board of directors and be a conduit between multiple stakeholders, its members, and the larger EA community.
